About listening to music while working…

Listening to music has become an indispensable part of our lives. Several researchers conducted research on the music we listen to in order to isolate ourselves from our surroundings and focus on work. They acknowledge that it improves performance.

Music playing in the background while working might prevent focusing on the core task. On the other hand, when it comes to automatic cognitive processes, music can be useful due to the positive effects it has on our emotional state.

A 1993 study published in Nature magazine found that listening to Mozart pieces improved spatial awareness. Let’s see what we can also play for a performance boost:

1- Listen to instrumental music.

2- Prefer calm music that doesn’t include repetitive beats.

3- Choose the type of music that isn’t physically relaxing, causing you to feel sleepy.

4- Classical music helps you focus better.

5- And needless to say, avoid the type of songs that remind you of bad experiences. 😊🎶
